Accounting Manager / Bookkeeper

20+ employees. We specialize in providing high-quality Audio-Visual solutions for events and
installations. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Bookkeeper to join our team
and manage our financial operations.

 

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager/Bookkeeper will oversee all aspects of financial management for our
business, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, experience with
QuickBooks, and thrives in a hands-on small business environment.
This position reports directly to the company ownership.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and reconcile financial transactions in QuickBooks accurately and timely
  • Manage accounts receivable: issue invoices, process payments, and follow up on collections
  • Oversee accounts payable: process bills and ensure timely vendor payments
  • Submit payroll to an outside payroll vendor for processing weekly
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare management reports as needed
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Prepare and file local, state, and federal taxes in compliance with regulations
  • File monthly sales tax reports for Florida and other states where we operate
  • Collect, organize, and maintain tax-exempt certificates from all qualified clients to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Maintain contractor registrations and licenses with applicable counties
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, or strengthen internal processes

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally in a small business setting
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external partners
  • Working knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
